What is potential Difference? Formula?
The energy transferred per unit charge as charges more between two points in a circuit (measured in volts) FORMULA: V=IR
1 of 8
What is a thermistor?
A temperature dependant resistor. if the temperature is low then the resistance is high
2 of 8
What is an LDR?
Light dependant resistor which varies depending on how the light changes
3 of 8
What is a doide?
A component that only allows a current to flow in one direction
4 of 8
What is the National grid?
A collection of power cables that connect power to factories and houses.
5 of 8
How can the National Grids electricity increase?
The higher the current the more energy is wasted and becomes less efficient
6 of 8
What do step up transformers do?
Increase the potential difference, they are connected between the power situations and the national grid.
7 of 8
Energy transferred Formula?
Energy Transferred= Change flow x potential difference ( E=QV)
