1. Stimulus. 2. Receptors detect change. 3. Control Centre. 4. Effector. 5. Response which restores original state.

What are the two main groups of hormones?
Those synthesised from fatty acids: small and lipid soluble. 2. Those synthesised from amino acids: water soluble.

What are the 5 special organs?
The eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin.

What types of receptors are there?
Photoreceptors, chemoreceptors and mechanoreceptors.

What does a nerve consist of?
Dendrites, cell body, axon, myelin and node.
