What are Pathogens? Give one example
Microorganisms that cause infectious diseases. E.g Bacteria, Viruses

How do pathogens make us feel ill?
They make us feel ill by releasing poisonous chemicals called Toxins.

How do viruses multiply?
They enter the cells in your body. The new viruses burst out of the cell ready to invade other cells. This May damage the cells or even destroy it.

Name 3 ways white blood cells protect us?
Ingest the pathogens, produce antitoxins, produce antibodies.

What does MMR stand for?
Measles. Mumps and Rubella.

How do vaccines work?
They inject a bit of the dead bacteria/ Viruses. So our bodies recognize it if we get the said diseases and it will be destroyed quicker.
