Biology Respiration

?
What is aerobic respiration?
Respiring using the right amount of oxygen; which occurs when you are breathing at a steady rate.
1 of 5
What is the equation for Respiration?
Glucose + Oxygen => Carbon dioxide + Water (+ATP)
2 of 5
What is Anaerobic respiration?
Respiring with insuffiecient oxygen levels, therefore using energy from muscles.
3 of 5
Why / when would you respire anaerobically?
When you are exercising; when there isn't enough oxygen.
4 of 5
What is Oxygen Debt?
The moving of lactic acid to the liver to be broken down, because the acidic levels of the lactic acid can denature the enzymes in the body. Lactic acid must been removed and broken down. Because of this, the heart remains pumping at a high rate.
