What is a quadrat? Describe how you would use it?
You use a quadrat to count (not to collect) organisms. it is a square frame. you randomly place it or throw it onto the ground and then count how many organisms are inside it.

Explain the meaning of the word 'ecosystem'?
an ecosystem is not the same as a habitat. a ecosystem ia all the organisms living in a particular area, as well as all the non-living physical conditions e.g temperature and light.

Name 5 physical factors that could affect the distruption of an organism?
light, temperature, water, oxygen, soil quality

What is competition? How can it affect the disribution of organisms?
Competition happens when different organisms in the same area need the same resource (e.g. food or water)

biodiversity is the veriety of different species living in a habitat
