A person opens a bottle of perfume. Why do people in the room smell it faster on a warm day?
because the temperature affects the rate of diffusion.
2 of 13
What is a contact force?
the objects are actually touching, eg. 2 people pulling against each other.
3 of 13
What is a non-contact force?
the objects are not touching, eg. the force of gravity acts even when the objects are not touching.
4 of 13
Formula for weight?
weight= mass x gravitational field strength.
5 of 13
What is a resultant force?
when more than one force acts on an object.
6 of 13
What does work mean?
energy transferred by a force.
7 of 13
Formula for work done?
work done = force x distnace moved in teh direction
8 of 13
What does joules mean?
the unit or energy, written as j
9 of 13
What does power mean?
the energy transferred each second, measured in watts (w)
