what is protease?
protease breaks down proteins into aino acids. (pepsin)
1 of 5
Carbohydrase
This breaks down carbohydrats into smaller sugars (amylase)
2 of 5
lipase
This breaks fat into fatty acids and glycerol
3 of 5
Explain the lock and the key
the key is the enzyme and the lock is the substrate, the key teeth is the active site. once it is placed in the enzyme and the substrate bind together , the sbstarte needs to be broken down so it fits inot the active site to be broken down
4 of 5
What are the enzymes affected by?
Temperature, PH, enzyme concentration, and sustratce concentration.
