Distinct patterns of changes in body activity that conform to cyclical time periods, influenced by internal body clocks (endogenous pacemakers) as well as external changes to the environment.

Circadian Rythm?
type of biological rhythm subject to a 24-hour cycle which regulates a number of body processes such as the sleep wake cycle and changes in core body temperature.

Sleep wake cycle?
refers to 24-hour daily sleep pattern which consists of around 16 hours of daytime wakefulness and 8 hours of rest, the fact that we feel drowsy at night and alert during the day demonstrates the effect of daylight.

Temperature?
Core body temperature varies by 2 degrees, it's at its lowest at around 4am and peaks around 6 in the evening. Evidence suggest that temperature can have an effect on our mental abilities, the warmer we are internally the better our cognitive performance.
