What is a stimuli ?
A thing or event that evokes a specific functional reaction.

Skinner's research involved the use of non-human animals such as pigeons and rats. Some claim that this limits the amount that his findings can be applied to human behaviour.

What is Positive Reinforcement?
Something pleasant is given if the correct behaviour is portrayed.
e.g. being given a house point for giving the correct answer

What is Negative Reinforcement?
Something that is taken away when the correct behaviour is produced.
e.g. using suncream to avoid being burnt

What is Punishment?
Something unpleasant is introduced when displaying the wrong behaviour.

Something that satisfies a biological need.
e.g. food, water, sleep.

Something that is carried out in order pursue our biological needs
