What is classification?
Classification is to sort organism into groups based on their characteristics (what they look like)
1 of 11
What is the difference between multicellular and unicellular?
Multicellular is made of many cells whereas unicellular is single cells
2 of 11
What is the process autotrophically?
When plants make food using photosynthesis
3 of 11
What is heterotrophically?
Animals feeding by eating and digesting other organisms
4 of 11
What is saprophytically?
When fungi eat and digest other organism outside the body
5 of 11
What are Animalia's main characteristics?
multicellular, heterotrophic feeders so no chlorophyll, no cell walls, complex cell structure with nucleus
6 of 11
What are Plantae's main characteristics?
multicellular, autotrophic feeders using chlorophyll, cell walls made of cellulose, complex cell structure with nucleus
7 of 11
What are Fungi's main characteristics?
multicellular, cell walls not made of cellulose, saprophytic feeders so no chlorophyll, complex cell structure with nucleus
8 of 11
What are Protoctista's main characteristics?
mostly unicellular, complex cell structure with nucleus
9 of 11
What are Prokaryotae's main characteristics?
unicellular, simple cell structure with no nucleus
10 of 11
Why is there no kingdom for viruses?
Because viruses enter a living cell, it changes the way the cell works and causes it to make copies of the virus however the virus doesn't show other life processes such as growth or feeding like other organisms
