What is Fairclough's theory of Synthetic Personalisation?
Synthetic personalisation is the process of addressing mass audiences as though they were individuals through inclusive language usage. The use of pronouns is considered a feature of this theory.

Influential power - to persuade and influence, usually used in advertising. Instrumental Power - explicit power to instruct, usually used in law or education.

Explain the Power Asymmetry theory. (Fairclough)
-An unequal encounter is one which where one participant has power over another. Thus involving a powerful participant and a less powerful participant.
