What is a coronary angiogram/primary PCI?
A diagnostic x-ray that takes pictures of coronary arteries

Why do we do an angio?
Because with coronary heart disease, fatty deposits build on the inner walls of arteries, causing narrowing or blockages that restrict blood flow to heart

What is the nursing care post-angiogram?
assessment
management of complications - bleeding, swelling, etc.
transradial (TR) band places pressure on area and is gradually decreased by removing air
