Example question:
A ball is dropped from a hight (H), above the ground. the speed of the ball just before it hits the ground is 5 m/s. Calculate the hight the ball is dropped from.
(Acceleration due to gravity = 10m/s)
V2 -U2 = 2 x A x X
(5x5) - (0x0) = 2 x 10 x X
25 - 0 = 25, 2 x 10 = 20
25= 20 x X
25/ 20 = 1.25
H/D = 1.25m
