christians worship because it allows them to praise and thank god for his blessings, to ask for forgiveness of sin

worship helps deepens christians relationship with god

liturgical worship:

a church service follows a set structure or ritual

a priest leads a congregation in formal prayers that have set responses

during service there will often be music,hymns sung by the choir or sometimes chanting by priest

an example is the celebration of the eucharist for catholic,orthodox and anglican churches

non-liturgical/informal worship:

service that does not follow a set text or ritual/a type of non-liturgical worship,sometimes charismatic in nature
