Types of Discrimination

Religious discrimination is against the law in the UK. An example of this type of discrimination is the Holocaust, where 6 million Jews were murdered by the Nazis during WWII.  The Nazis blamed the Jews for Germany's economic problems and thought that they were racially superior to them.

Racism is also against the law in the UK.  An example of racism is segregation in America until the 1970s.  Black people weren't seen as equal citizens.  They were paid less than white colleagues, had to give up their seat on the bus to white people and had no vote. Schools were segregated.
