Types of attachment

Aim: To test types of attachment.

Method:  A controlled observation (a strange situation with 7 episodes (stages) was set up and babies’ reactions were recorded.

DV: 

- Proximity seeking.
- Exploration and secure-base behaviour.
- Stranger anxiety.
- Separation anxiety.
- Response to reunion.
