DIFFUSION:

particles spread out from areas of HIGH concentration to LOW concentration areas to equal out the concentration

EXAMPLES: sugar disolving in water, spraying perfume in a room, tea bags, etc

OSMOSIS:

is the diffusion of WATER MOLECULES from DILUTE soltution to a CONCENTRATED solution across a PARTIALLY PERMEABLE MEMBRANE

EXAMPLES: plant roots absorbing water, blood cells…
