Challenging Biological determinism- it was claimed that biological sex was not the main factor in gender development. Research supported this such as a study with 16 genetic males who were born with almost no penis. Two were raised as males and remained males. 14 were raised as female and 8/14 reassigned themselves as males by the age of 16. This suggests that the biological factors have a key role in gender development.
