Provisions of the act:
1. 56 boroughs in England and Wales were disenfranchised
2. 30 boroughs lost one of their two MPs
3. 42 new borough constituencies were created
4. Scotland received eight extra seats
5. Ireland received five extra seats
Franchise was extended:
Counties - vote was given to adult males who owned land worth £10, or rented land worth £50
Boroughs - vote was made uniform
