 Structures and their Functions

  • Larynx: The bony part of the windpipe, it houses the vocal chords
  • Trachea: The tube leading from the larynx to the lungs
  • Bronchus: The two tubes the trachea leads into
  • Bronchioles: Smaller tubes which the bronchi branch intoas they get further into the lungs
  • Alveoli: Tiny air sacs at the end
