Responsibilty for the Planet

Science has made discoveries about the origins of the universe and the origins of humanity. Some people think that science has shown that alot of the teachings in the bible about where we came from are perhaps wrong. Some people think that science has gone away with need for a god to explain the origins of the universe and humanity. This has led to the idea that science had 'killed' god.

What does the bible say about the origins of the universe?

•  The book of genisis (the first book in the bible) says: "in the beginning god created the heavens and the Earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
