Sexual Reproduction:

• produces genetically different cells - unique.
• In sexual reproduction the mother & father produce gametes by meiosis. The egg and sperm fuse together to form a cell with the full number of chromosomes.
• Offspring inherits features from both parents, mixture of genetic info produces variation.
• Advantages = offspring has variation which increases the chances of surviving as it can adapt more easily to an environment and more likely to breed and pass the genes on (natural selection), selective breeding speeds up natural selection…
