When a wave meets a boundary it can be: reflected, absorbed or transmitted (when a wave carries on travellig through the new materials.

Angle of Incidence = Angle of Reflection

Reflection can be:

Specular: When waves interact with a smooth surface (mirror) they are reflected all in a single direction. They are all parrallel but hit the surface at different points along it, THE NORMAL IS THE SAME FOR EACH RAY!
