What is conformity?
Conformity is: ' A change in behavior or belief as a result of real or imagined group pressure '
What is social influence?
Social influence is: ' A process by which an individuals attitudes, beliefs or behaviors are modified by the presence or actions of others. '
Three types of conformity - KELMAN
1) Compliance
- conforming to the behavior or views of others in a group but privately maintaining their own view.
