Population Issues
An ageing population is one where there is a high proprtion of people aged over 65 yeaers. A youthful population is one where there is a high proportion of people aged under 16 (or 18) years. Both of these situations cause different challenges that the government and people of a country have to deal with.
* Both ageing and youthful populations mean a country has a high number of dependents that the working population has to support both financially and socially. In both situations, the working-aged population may be unable, or chose not to work to look after either elderly relatives or bot children
