Germans were unhappy about the land given to Poland by the Treaty of Versailles, Hitler pretended that he just wanted to get back 'Polish corridor' which split Germany in two.

In May 1939 he told the German Generals. that he wanted to conquer all of Poland:

To gain lebensraum from the 'inferior' Poles.

To strengthen Germany further for the war against USSR.

Nazi-Soviet Pact August 1939.

  • To make sure that Britain and France.  or the USSR did not interfere when he invaded Poland Hitler made a deal with Stalin.
