Pavlov behaviourist theory

Pavlov tried and suceeded to prove his theory by using dogs. He rang a bell, in which the dog wouldn't respond until food and water was introcuded. The dog then went on to respond to the bell without food being introduced. This theory is useful in understanding how children behave and learn as it is a perfect example as to how you only have to see/experience something a few times before eventually picking up that behaviour.
