Speed: How fast something is traveling. Or how far it travels in a space of time.

HOWEVER

Velocity: The SPEED of something - which also shows the direction it travels.

For example: A man in his car is travels at +60 km/h when he goes away to work in the morning, but would travel a velocity of -60 km/h as he came back in the evening.
