Iceland is in the North Atlantic Ocean. It is situated on the Mid Atlantic Ridge, a plate margin where two plates MOVE AWAY FROM EACH OTHER.
CONSTRUCTIVE is where two plates are moving apart. The magma at constructive margins is very hot and fluid. Lava erupting from a volcano will flow a long way before cooling. This results in typically broad and flat SHEILD VOLCANOES.
