Photosynthesis uses light enery to join together two simple molecules: Carbon Dioxide and Water

Carbon Dioxide and Water join to form a more complex molecule: Glucose

Oxygen is released as a by-product

Carbon Dioxide + Water (+Light Energy) ------> Glucose + Oxygen

Chlorophyll is a green pigment that is found in Chloroplasts

Chlorophyll absorbs light energy which converts light energy into Glucose
