Photosynthesis

EQUATION:

Carbon Dioxide + Water ( + Light Energy ) ----> Glucose + Oxygen.

Energy from photosynthesis turns carbon dioxide from the air and water from the soil into simple sugar called glucose.

A lot of the glucose made is stored as starch.

TESTING FOR STARCH (also photosynthesis):

Iodine is a yellow-brown liquid which turns dark blue when it reacts with starch.
