Advantages to the consumer 

It is a lot easier for someone who lives in a remote location to order things online and get them delivered, this is the same for people who suffer with disabilities, they may not be able to go to the shop easily. 

Advantages to the seller 

There is no need for a physical shop where you have to pay rent and bills. it also reduces the number of staff you may need and the amount of stock you need to order. 

Implications of online retail services 

The high streets have changed based on the amount of people who now shop online. Some big retailers are having to shut shops as they are not having enough custom to pay the bills. This is most common in small shops such as book retailer and boutique clothing shops. 

Online Financial Services 

All banks now have an online presence, they tend to have an app that allows you to complete simple transactions such as transferring money and paying bills online. 

Education and training 

Education has started to move online, people using google, docs, slides, classroom. To aid education, this is because they are a free alternative to the microsoft version. As long as you have access to the internet you can use the google version for free. You can also complete online training courses which teach people all sorts of different skills. 

Online news and information

Newspapers have been suffering lately as most people now tend to use the internet to gather the information that they need. The big impact of less print newspapers is that they lose money through advertising.
