Newton's Laws of Motion

A force is an interaction with an object that will, in most cases, have an effect on the movement of the object. Forces are measured in newtons (symbolised N). The forces on an object can be displayed on a force diagram. These diagrams show the direction and magnitude of the force with arrows pointing away from and touching the object that is being acted on.
