mitosis and meiosis

MITOSIS

1)everything is copied so that the cell has two copies of dna.

2) cells form x shaped chromosomes - each arm has exactly the same dna.

3) the chromosomes line up at the centre of the cell and are pulled apart by cell fibres.

4)membranes form around each set of chromosomes. (nuclei of the two new cells)
