Methods- Field Experiments

Field Experiments:

• study in the participant's normal environment
• still manipulating the I.V and imposing some controls
• Independent measures or repeated designs
• usually productes quantative data

Evaluation:

+ low chance of demand characteristics as study is in a natural environement and deception often used

+High E.V. which means study is more generalisable to real life

+good reliability as clear D.V and I.V

+traumatic incident staging usually avoided in EWT studies as too much distress…
