- Two social classes and capitalism (Bourgeoisie are the ruling class & Proletariat are the working class) 

- Conflict theory since it looks at the rich exploiting the poor

- Looks at social order & structure but this only benefits the rich and powerful 

- Marx believed capitslisim to be morally wrong
