Macbeth notes
Act 1: Prophecies and plots
-King Duncan plans to reward Mabeth with the title Thane of Cawdor for defeating rebel forces in battle and for showing courage and barvery.
-Three witchespropesy that Macbeth will become the Thane of Cawdor and Kingof Scotland.
-Macbeth is officially infoormed that he has become the Thane of Cawdor and is amazed that the witches prophecy came true.
-Lady Macbeth shares his ambitions, and callson evil sprits to give her the strength to undertake the murder of Duncan.
-Duncan arrives at Macbeth's castle for the banquet and is welcome but when Macbeth arrives home, Lady Macbeth insists on planning the murder of Duncan.
Act 2: Murder most foul
-In act 2, Macbeth is worried about the muder is he about to commit and sees a vision of a dagger.
-Macbeth murders Duncan and Lady Macbeth criticises him for being distressed. She helps cover up the murder as Macbeth still has the dagger and then they both go to bed to pretend innocence.
-MacDuff finds Duncan mudered andthe alarm is sounded, Macbeth uses Duncan's guards to cover his crime and pins the murder on them.
-Duncan's sons,Malcom and Donalbain flee…
