  • Skills avaliable in that area (e.g. Cambridge and London have a high skilled population whereas Kettering doesn't. Also in Sunderland, Nissian decided to open their UK car divison there. Due to the previous factory work there, there was the right workforce present. The existence of government support in grants and tax relief helped too).
