Ecosystem - A community of living and non living things within its environment. (plants, animals, rocks)

Biome - A large scale ecosystem (rainforest)

Treeless tundra - arctic conditions, too cold for tree's

Interception - Trees blocking the rain

Savannah - between desert and tropical climate

'Slash and burn' - Shifting cultivation is when people chop down the trees to fertilize crops and using all the goodness until none is left and then moving on.

Why are some rainforests removed? Cutting down tree's and digging for iron ore and bauxite. Also for selling bio fuel and removing trees to put cattle there instead due to high demand on meat.
