Growth of theLiberal Party timeline

  • 1832- Passed the first Reform Act: Granting the Franchise to the middle classes and their admission to the House of Commons which led to middle class liberalism.
  • 1846- Split over Tory/Conservative Party- weakened them. Many voters didn't want to vote for them as they were inexperienced.
