A joint is when two bones meet.
In dance, a hip joint will need great mobility for leg gestures, where as a knee needs more stability to protect when landing.
Types of joints:
Cartilaginous- this has little movement but great strength I.e. the joints between your vertebrae. Limitation in movement is essential to protect jarring from landing to the skull and brain.
Fibrous- allows little or no movement. I.e. the flat bones of the skull
Synovial-this is the most mobile…
