Originally human population was limited by the same factors as other populations - food availability , disease etc

Explosion in human population due to

• Agriculture
• Industrial revolution

Hence the human population does not follow the same sigmoind curve as other populations , at the exponential phase the human population continues to grow rather than stabilise like other populations
