- This is the regulation of the conditions inside an animals body.

- Conditions need to be kept at instant levels so complex chemical reactions can take place.

- This also keeps the body safe from harmful effects.

What does Homostasis regulate?

 Water concentration 

Breathing rate

Heart rate 

Blood sugar levels 

Body tempurature

Hot day: 

Hair erector mucle is relaxed, the blood cappilaries vasodilate, skin hair lay flat on surface and sweat gland produces sweat.

Warm blooded animals overheat during exercise, illness and in hot weather.

Prevention of over-heating:

Sweating- Sweat is produced by the sweat glands. As sweat evapourates from the skin it removes heat from the body.
