Why did herny VIII make himself head of the church of england?
Henry VIII had 3 main problemx; he needed power, he nedded money and most importantly he needed a son.
One of the problems he had was that he needed a son. His current wife, cathorine of aragon, only had the abilty to have one child and when she did, she had a baby girl. Henry VIII was not happy. He needed son; so as cathorine of aragon cooldnt have anymore children the only solution to this problem was a divorce.
Henry VIII went to the pope to explain his problem and ask for a divorce. But the pope rejected. Without the divorce he couldnt have a son and thy couldnt carry on the tudur name. If he took over the church he could…
