- Culturing: Growing (micro-organisms/bacteria)
- Agar: A jelly with nutrients for bacteria to grow on
- We want to microbs/micro-organisms to find out what type of anti-biotics/disinfectant might kill it
- You have to sterilise agar and petri dish in order to prevent contamination
- Method:
- To do that you use innoculating loop and put on bunsen burner (heat it high) to get rid of any bacteria
- Leave to cool down or it will kill microbs in container
