Gas and Solute Exchange

  • Life processes need gases/dissolved substances to occur.
  • Waste substances need to be removed from cells.
  • The substances are moved via:
    • diffusion
    • osmosis
    • active transport
  • Diffusion - this is when particles move from a high concentration to a low concentration.
