Fibres are the makeup/raw material of a fabric.

Fibres come in either short lenghs known as staple fibres or in longer lenghs known as filaments.Staple fibres are spun to produce yarns and filaments can be spun or used as they are. Yarns made from filaments are smooth.Yarns made from staple fibres are hairer.
