• *Steffendmeier and Schwartz- found female share of aressts for violence grew between 1980-2003, police fidnings not matched by victim surveys, victims did not report increase of attacks by females.

• *Steffendmeier and Schwartz found in relaity, there is no chnage in womens involvment in violent crime, ague rise of arrests is because of the justice system 'widening the net' (arresting and prosecuting females for less serious forms of violence.
