Experiment Types

3 Types:

• Lab- artificial setting with manipulated Independent variable (IV)
• Field- natural setting, usually in the participants' own setting.
• Natural- have a naturally occuring I.V

Lab Stengths: Good controls, replicable. Give cause and effect relationship. Less chance of extraneous variables

Lab Weaknesses: environment lacks E.V so what is measured is not natural so less valid.
