ENZYMES DO NOT DIE - They are not living.
ANABOLIC reactions require energy to build bigger molecules - BUILDERS.
CATABOLIC reactions require energy to come out - BREAKERS.
Molecules that BIND to the enzyme are called SUBSTRATES.
The resulting molecules from the reaction are called products.
ENZYME-SUBSTRATE complex when they come together.
The ENZYMES ARE NOT USED UP during the reaction.
The key part of the enzyme is called the ACTIVE SITE.
Reactions only take place when substrates fit into the active site of an enzyme.
This can be refered to as the lock and key as only a certain key will fit a certain lock, just like a substrate and enzyme.
